in County Armagh. In the parish of Tartaraghan, and the Townland of Derrycor. During
the 1800s and thru
the Early to Mid and Late 1900s and into 2001
John Hall and his wife Jane (Willis) farmed here
and brought up 11 children.
They attended the Church of Ireland.
Margaret born 1859. ---William, born 1861. ---
Sarah born 1862.--- Harriet born 1864.
Richard born 1866. --- Annie, born 1870. --- Jane born 1873. --- Jackson,
born 1876.
Eliza(beth) born 1878. --- Catherine, born 1881. --- and Mary born 188?
From the Census of 1901
Jane was head of the household. --- John having passed on (1889) --- A grandson named Robert aged 10, son of William --- William was listed as married, but no wife was listed as being in the household at the census. --- Jackson,--- Eliza and Catherine
Annie had married and left the family farm. And it is with Annie and her family that this Web Site is mainly concerned, at present.
William and his wife (Sarah Magowan) had 7
children,
Robert, Johnny, Jerry, Daisy, Sarah, Charlotte and Bart.
Jackson continued farming, he married Annie Conn, but there were no children.
No info on Eliza, did she go to USA ? --- Catherine married Thomas Williamson and there were two children, Ernest and Jack.
