I don't have a lot of info on her but her name is Elizabeth Greer. She married John Seawright 14 May 1828 in First Dromara Presbyterian, County Down and had a daughter, Jane born in 1829. Jane Searight married John Bowman. Any connection? D Sadler. delaina@home.com Victoria BC Canada. Greetings from NZ. It seems that from your posting to the Caora site < http://www.caora.net > that we may have a link, since I know that my Donaldsons have a history in the Shankhill area, and Ligoniel Rd., Belfast specifically. I would love more details from you. Can we find a real connection. B Owen. bsowen@xtra.co.nz Hello, I am seeking info. on my
GGrandmother, Susan Jane Curry. Hello, I have just looked at your web site & find that one of your grandparents, David Turkington may be a brother to my husbands G.Grandmother who was Anne Turkington. Anne was married to Joseph McCully & their son Isaac, my husbands Grandfather was born at Church Place Lurgan 3rd Nov. 1867 . The name & place were too much of a coincidence to pass up. Yours, M. m.mccully@clear.net.nz
Hi, my gr. grandfather, DAVID RAINEY m.
MARY JANE TURKINGTON sept 13 1868 in Lurgan, parish of Shankhill, C0. Armagh.
Her father was listed as DAVID
TURKINGTON, dead labourer. He was a baker and perhaps worked for
TURKINGTON owner of a bakery in Lurgan. Don't know much beyond that, except
that in a letter from my grandmother,( written before she died, to my mother,
who was born in Belfast.) grandma mentioned that her family, the Rainey's,
were connected to the Turkingtons and Stevenson's of Lurgan. Both my
parents were born in Belfast and David and Mary Jane Rainey eventually moved
to Belfast after they were married.
I did find a son born to them in 1871
while they were living in Lavery's Court, Lurgan
