Curry Greer Family History Page 3
The main concern is to
find the missing info in red
from pages 1, 2 and 3 etc.
We have most everything needed for our direct line after
the year 1900.
But other
connections are sought

Origins ?
We have no proof
that the Robert Curry who married Sarah Greavy in 1805 was our G G
Grandfather.
Word of mouth told us that our G Grandfather came from Anahilt,
Co Down. This was the only Robert Curry found in any
Anahilt records, but there is no trace of them or offspring after
1805.
However we did find a Robert Curry marrying Letitia Carson
in Dromara in 1835 (not far from Anahilt).
Sarah Curry
daughter of Robert and Letitia was married in Malone
Presbyterian Church in 1856 to Alexander Dalzell and one
witness was William Curry(1st).
And at the
marriage of William Curry(1st) to Jane Johnston in 1857, Sarah
and Alexander Dalzell witnessed !
The father of the Robert Curry who married Letitia Carson
is noted as Robert Curry of Carnew, while a witness
was a James Curry of Magheraconluce.
Consider
the possibility that the Robert who married Letitia Carson was the father of
William(1st) in a previous marriage.
OR that Robert, James and William were brothers,i.e.
sons of the original Robert.

Curry/Carson Family Letitia Carson was the Daughter
of Andrew Carson of Ballynahatty.
Any other
offspring from Andrew?
Robert Curry was a Shoemaker, Sarah
1836 and Israel 1838 were born in Dromara, the family then
moved to Belfast and lived at, and/or around Bradbury Place.
Further births in Belfast were
1840 Andrew, 1841 Mary Jane, 1842/3 William, 1844 Letitia, and
1846 Martha M Curry. For marriages and births from these offspring, see the

Greer
Family The birth place and parents of William Henry
Greer and his wife Rachael Mercer have eluded our
search. It is thought that the Greers built Coaches in Moira, Co
Down and/ or Co Armagh prior to Coachbuilding in Lurgan.
Any Info ?
There should be Emigration to USA and Canada of some Greers from
Lurgan and Co Armagh in the 1800s and from Belfast in the 1900s.

Curry/Richmond
From William
Curry(2nd) and his wife Elizabeth Donaldson there were 6
children. One, Ernest Curry 1899 to 1971 married Hazel
Richmond (from Belfast) in USA in 1926. Hazel was the first
daughter of John Richmond and Annie Hall, who were
married in Dungannon, Co Tyrone in 1899. John Richmond was from
England and Annie Hall was from Derrycor, Tartaraghan, Co Armagh.
Their other children were Laura and Elizabeth.
Other surnames are Hazelton, Willis and Williamson
